In the under 48 kg category, Mongolian Baasankhuu Bavuudorj won after a demanding final.

In the under 60 kg category, Tajik Muhammadsoleh Quvatov won the gold medal with a fantastic ippon! The crowd erupted with pride and enthusiasm! A fantastic start for the local athletes with lots of encouragement from the fans.
The President of the Tajik Judo Federation, Mr. Ismoil Mahmadzoir awarded the medals.
“The atmosphere today was really good, the people in the crowd were clapping a lot, I liked it so much that I wanted to win the medal for them” said Muhammadsoleh Quvatov after his match.
The final of the under 52 kg category pitted two Swiss women, Binta Ndiaye and Fabienne Kocher. It was ultimately Kocher who won the gold medal thanks to penalties.
IJF Chief Referee Director Ki-Young Jeon presented the medals.
“The atmosphere today in the gym was incredible, from the first round people were screaming, it gave us a lot of energy here for the whole day” enthused Fabienne Kocher after her match.
In the under 66 kg category, there was once again a local favorite, Obid Dzhebov who faced Turkmen Serdar Rahimov. Rahimov finally won the gold medal after a tough fight.

In the -57 kg class, Jessica Klimkait is once again at the top of the podium. IFJ Sports Director Michael Tamura presented the medals.
