The 2025 World Cup will feature para-cross-country skiing for the first time

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in Trondheim in 2025, there will also be a competition for para-cross-country skiers for the first time. According to a statement from the International Ski Federation (FIS), head of organization Kristin Mürer Stemland said they were pleased to proudly present an inclusive championship. Para sprint competitions with qualifications, semi-finals and finals are planned.

World Para-cross-country skiing championships have existed since 1974. Until now, they have always been held independently of the Nordic World Ski Championships.
