The employees and supporters of the Diakonie Westmecklenburg Schwerin in Rampe were rewarded with plenty of sunshine and even more happy faces. The riverside festival was a success again this year. “There are a lot of people here. The atmosphere is great, everyone is having a lot of fun and that is a success for everyone,” explains the commercial director Thomas Tweer.
Many families accepted the invitation to Rampe and were not only able to see and hear what the Diakonie employees can do, but there was also a lot to discover in terms of cuisine. There was dancing, music and literary performances on the stages, and people were allowed to join in or just listen. The individual workshop areas presented the work of the Diakonie visitors at stands and selected hobby craftsmen from the region also offered their unique pieces.

The guests were particularly amazed at the stand of falconer Reinhardt Eggert. He had brought a small selection of birds of prey and explained which ones were suitable for hunting and why. The man from Zapel Hof also had a stuffed eagle owl with him.
