Two weekends of competitions in Massa Martana which gave a lot of satisfaction to the Judo Kodokan Gubbio which concluded these competitions on Saturday 27 April with a double regional phase for the A and B rookie judokas. The first major objective was achieved on the occasion of the qualification for the Coni Esordienti Trophy A 2024 where Radicchi Cesare, Ragni Marco and Panfili Alessio won in their respective categories and will represent Umbria with the Judo team at the Coni Trophy 2024 which will take place in Catania from 3 to 6 October. The second objective of the day was achieved by Luca Fioroni in the Beginners B -60 kg category, with qualification for the final of the Italian FIJLKAM A2 Championship which will take place in Olbia on 25 May.
The prelude to these beautiful goals was announced on 21 and 22 April at the IX City of Massa Martana Trophy reserved for A/B rookies and Cadets. The 16 judokas from Gubbio in the competition brought the Judo Kodokan Gubbio to the third step of the podium in the club ranking out of 65 clubs, thanks to the 5 gold medals of Radicchi Cesare, Panfili Alessio, Pierotti Gioele, Fioroni Luca and Farchi M’Hamed, the 4 silver medals by Ragni Marco, Farchi Yahya, Fagiani Pietro and Ignat Efimia and the 2 bronze medalists Mischianti Giacomo and Radicchi Emily; also present were Morra Andrea (seventh), Maranghi Alessio, Vagnarelli Martino, Filippetti Francesco and Moriconi Lorenzo. “This FIJLKAM branded competition, which attracted many athletes from outside the region led by technicians of national importance, was not at all easy,” commented the club president Roberta Moscetti Castellani, “but each of our athletes did something special and allowed the club to be the only Umbrian team to get on the podium of the event.”
