Success for Balearic Archers at Junior National League Outdoor Test in Madrid, with Gold and Silver Medals Earned

This weekend was held in Madrid, in Ciudad Universitaria, the second outdoor test of the Junior National League, Cadets and Under 14s. 18 athletes from the islands took part in the competition, 10 from the Es Cubells archery club, seven from the Ibiza Archery Club and one from the Formentera Archery Club.

The results were good, highlighting the gold medal won by Toni Roig from the s arc club in Ibiza in Junior Recurve Archery and the silver medal won by Eduardo Santolaria, from the Es Cubells archery club, in Cadet Recurve Archery.

The event began on Saturday with the qualifying rounds and the first eliminations in the 1/16 final and on Sunday it was the turn of the rest of the eliminations.

The Ibizan delegation wanted to highlight the results: «If we look in detail at the performance of the athletes, it has been satisfactory compared to the 1st National League, so the course is good for the final event, which will be the Spanish Championship. July 19 to 21 in Madrid.

Before this championship, the athletes will have to compete in the next event for these categories, which will be the 3rd National League and will be held on June 22 and 23 in the same place.

This event, the one on the 22nd and 23rd, will coincide with the Spanish RFETA Promesas Championship and the Spanish Championship of School-Age Regional Teams (CESA).
