Stars equalize against Oilers in NHL semifinal

The Dallas Stars have equalized the score at 1:1 with a 3:1 home win against the Edmonton Oilers in the play-off semi-final series of the National Hockey League (NHL).

However, the Canadians are still ahead with the small advantage of their away win, and they now enjoy home advantage twice in the best-of-seven series. The Oilers, who are playing for their first place in the Stanley Cup final in 18 years, won the first game 3-2 after overtime.

After 25 goal involvements, Oilers star Leon Draisaitl was without a scoring point for the first time in this year’s playoffs. Stars goalie Jake Oettinger made 28 saves, and only Connor Brown (5th) beat him. Jamie Benn (4th) put Dallas in the lead with the first shot on goal, Mason Marchment (44th) deflected a shot into the goal at the beginning of the final third, and Esa Lindell (58th) scored into the empty net to make the final score.
