Spanish Badminton Players Ready to Take on Austrian Open at Graz

A new international event is coming for Spanish badminton, this time with the Austrian Open. The competition takes place from May 23 to 26 in the town of Graz with the presence of six national athletes.

The Spanish accent in this tournament is provided by the CARD players Nikol Carulla, Rodrigo Sanjurjo, Ania Setien, Ruben Garcia and Carlos Piris and the Asturian midfielder Adolfo López.

The Spanish participation will be opened at 9:35 a.m. by the mixed doubles of Nikol Carulla and Rodrigo Sanjurjo with their first round duel of the previous round, in which they will face the Taiwanese couple of Chen Ze Ru and Ruo Hsuan Ko. Already at 12:35 Carulla will jump onto the court again to make her debut in the women’s singles preview, against local player Katrin Neudolt. In the afternoon, around 5:35 p.m., it will be the turn of the men’s doubles composed of Rodrigo Sanjurjo and Adolfo López against the also Austrians Michael Schausberger and Lorenz Windauer.
