With the purpose of promoting physical culture and sports in the population, as well as raising the name of San Luis Potosí at the top of the podium, the Potosino Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, has championed the team that will represent the entity in the CONADE 2024 National Games. This exciting sporting event will take place in the states of Jalisco and Campeche, between the months of May and July of this year.
The flag ceremony, held at the Miguel Barragán auditorium facilities, was marked by the determined support of the state authorities for the 500 athletes that make up the various teams participating in this competition. The CONADE National Games are recognized as the most relevant multidisciplinary sports event in Mexico, and San Luis Potosí is preparing to leave an indelible mark on it.
The athletes from Potosí will compete in a total of 31 disciplines, ranging from the traditional charrería and rodeo, to swimming, karate, judo, roller skating, gymnastics, 3X3 basketball, athletics, racquetball, badminton, triathlon, among others. . Their goal is to surpass the outstanding performance of the previous year, where they won a total of 119 medals.
During the emotional ceremony, the athlete Marco Paolo García Díaz de León, representative of the roller hockey discipline, expressed his gratitude for the support provided to participate in this important competition. García highlighted the relevance of the CONADE 2024 National Games, highlighting that, together with the effort, discipline, courage and dedication of each athlete, they represent a powerful incentive to achieve everyone’s goals and dreams.
