Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti confirms Aurélien Tchouaméni’s absence for Champions League final

Victim of a stress fracture in the metatarsal of his left foot since May 9, Aurélien Tchouaméni has still not returned to collective training with Real Madrid. Carlo Ancelotti, his coach at the Merengues, also affirmed, this Friday at a press conference, that he would not be able to play in the next final of the Champions League (June 1, at Wembley, London), with Real against Borussia Dortmund. “He continues to work individually but he will not be fit for the (Champions League) final,” declared the Italian technician. He is out because of his injury.”

It should be reinstated for the Euro

Good news on the other hand for Didier Deschamps and the French team, Ancelotti, who observes the evolution of Tchouaméni on a daily basis, was confident about the presence and participation of the French midfielder in the next Euro (June 14 – 14 July). “I think he can and will be restored for the Euro,” said the Real Madrid coach. Which would actually match the convalescence time (three to four weeks) estimated just after his injury.
