Parral Judoka Gina Rodríguez Wins Silver at 2024 National Universiade

Hidalgo del Parral.- The Parralense judoka, student of Unoversidad Autónoma de Nuevo León, Gina Rodríguez achieved a silver medal in the team competition, at the 2024 national universiade held in Aguascalientes a few days ago.

The athlete, from the Parral “González” Judo club of Professor Gabriel González, stood out from among hundreds of athletes from all over the country in this difficult discipline, and achieved national recognition within one of the most important sporting events in Mexico. , held in Aguascalientes with the 2024 edition of the National Universiade.

Thousands of students from different parts of the country competed for several days in order to obtain a medal that would award them as the best in their discipline. In total, there were 30 sports still being played in this Universiade, which began on May 11 and will continue until the 28th of this month.

Disciplines such as 3×3 basketball, taekwondo, weightlifting, chess, softball, soccer and judo were the first to see activity in what will be marathon days until the first three places are known, where Gina Rodríguez obtained the valuable silver medal .

The sports environment of the city of Parral celebrated this achievement of the Parral athlete, who from an early age has obtained countless local, state and national recognitions.
