Pallacanestro Varese takes first place in the Under 26 category

Varese Basketball wins first place in the ranking relating to the rewards intended for the companies participating in the Serie A Championship for the use and valorisation of Italian Under 26 players for the 2023 – 24 regular season.

The ranking involves only the clubs that have chosen to use the 5+5 formula for the entire sporting season, including the playoffs.

Also for this category there was an overall prize of 250.000 euro to be divided among the clubs with the best percentage of use of athletes with Italian citizenship and training Under 26 (the calculation of this percentage was carried out by dividing the minutes played by these athletes of Italian citizenship and education by the total minutes at the end of the twenty-seventh day of the championship). There Carpegna Prosciutto Pesaroranked third in this ranking but relegated to A2 at the end of the regular season, lost the right to the prize.

L’Openjobmetis Varese took first place by fielding Italian and training players for a total of 2.004 minutes (equal to 37.1% of the total), followed by Vanoli Basketball Cremona for a total of 694 minutes (equal to 12.7% of the total). Third place isEstra Pistoia for a total of 241 minutes (pari al 4,4% of the overall) while the ranking of the awarded teams closes Dolomiti Energia Trentino with a total of 153 minutes (equal to 2.8% of the total).
