Pacers submit 78 plays to NBA office from Games 1 and 2 against Knicks

The Pacers submitted 78 plays to the NBA front office that they felt were incorrect against them during Games 1 and 2 against the Knicks, a source told ESPN.

Los Indiana Pacers submitted 78 plays to the NBA that they felt were incorrectly called against them during Games 1 and 2 against the New York Knicksa league source told ESPN.

The coach of the PacersRick Carlisle, speaking after Indiana fell behind 2-0 in the Eastern Conference semifinals with a 130-121 loss to New York on Wednesday, said that the team had identified 29 questionable decisions in Game 1. The source said that the Pacers identified 49 of those plays from Game 2 and sent them overnight to the NBA office.

Carlisle said they had decided not to send Game 1’s fouls to the league office for review, but reversed that decision after Game 2 had similar officiating issues from their perspective.

As part of NBA protocol, the clips will also be shared with the Knicks.

“I can promise you we’ll introduce them tonight,” Carlisle said after being ejected in the final minute when he received two technical fouls. “New York can prepare. They’ll see them too. I’m always talking to our players so they don’t worry about the referees, but we deserve a fair chance.”
