ÖVV ace Ermacora is out with a knee injury

Martin Ermacora tore a patellar tendon in his knee at the Masters of the Austrian Pro Tour in Neusiedl on Friday and will be out for several weeks. His partner Philipp Waller had to take a break of several weeks in the fall due to a chest injury.

“The injury obviously comes at a bad time. Nevertheless, I am confident that I will be back on the court with Pippo at the Challenger in Poland (end of May, note). It should definitely be possible to qualify for the Olympics in mid-June,” said Ermacora, who received the diagnosis on Saturday.
