Official: FC Dordrecht takes over Valk from Feyenoord on a free transfer

Feyenoord sees Sem Valk transfer to FC Dordrecht on a free transfer. The 22-year-old central defender had an expiring contract with the Rotterdam team and now opts for playing time in the Kitchen Champion Division.

Sem Valk (February 16, 2002) has been playing in Feyenoord’s youth team since 2010, where he ended up after leaving VV Capelle at the age of eight. At the stadium club, Valk mainly played for the reserves where he was the captain. The right foot made his debut for the first team in 2021 during the Conference League match against Maccabi Haifa.

The defender with a height of 195cm signs a two-year contract, with the option for one more year. Valk is looking forward to playing for the Schapehoofd in the Kitchen Champion Division. “I am happy that I was able to sign my contract in this beautiful stadium, I look forward to playing here next season!”

Mark Ruijl already knew Sem Valk better and is pleased with his development in recent years. ”In recent years, Sem has developed enormously, which has resulted in his captaincy of Feyenoord’s Under 21 as well as his debut with the first team. We are convinced that this is a very good step for both parties.”
