NHL | Florida – NY Rangers 4:5 PP, Rangers hockey players defeated Florida and lead in the series

Reinhart was the first to score. The Florida forward took advantage of the power play at the 2:50 mark when he skated out of the corner of the rink and backhand opened the scoring. The Rangers turned it around in the eighth minute within 25 seconds. Lafreniére received a drive pass behind the home defense and equalized with a backhand under the crossbar. Goodrow sent the visitors into the lead with a run. The wild opening period was ended by Reinhart, who punished the exclusion of the Rangers with another backhand and made it 2:2.

At the end of the middle part, the team from New York jumped to a two-goal blockbuster. Lafreniére first flashed an individual action and followed it up with a hit in the weakening of Goodrow. Florida, however, erased the deficit with sticky goals. A pass into the goal area bounced into the Rangers net in the 46th minute off the skate of Aleksander Barkov, and Gustav Forsling immediately equalized with a shot from the left circle.

The Rangers decided to win just like in the last game in overtime. Ryan Lindgren’s flowing shot from the blue line secured Team Wennberg’s second point in the series. Home goalkeeper Sergej Bobrovsky claimed immediately afterwards that the author of the winning shot hit the puck intentionally with his glove, but the referees disagreed and the goal was awarded. Czech striker Filip Chytil, who did not score in the match, was also happy about the win.
