Nelson Javier Ozuna Commits to Developing Badminton in the Dominican Republic

EL NUEVO DIARIO, SANTO DOMINGO.- Sports leader Nelson Javier Ozuna committed to working for the massification and development of badminton in the country, as well as promoting athletes to the highest level.

Javier Ozuna, elected president of the Badminton Federation (Fedobad), gave credit to the men and women who make up the entity’s new executive committee and the expectations of assuming the challenge of ensuring the best interests of that discipline, indicates a note. of press sent this Wednesday.

“From this moment Dominican badminton begins a new era. It is a commitment that each and every member of this board has assumed,” said Javier Ozuna, former badminton athlete.

The new Fedobad board was elected during the elections held last Saturday, April 27 in the assembly hall of the Dominican Chess Federation, in the Olympic Center.

In addition to Javier Ozuna, Margarita Peguero, first vice president, was elected as members of the Fedobad executive committee; Alberto Almánzar, second vice president; Juan Eliezer Cruz A., general secretary; Edwin Antonio González, co-secretary general, and Paola Francisca Moreno, treasurer.

José Efraín Fabián, co-treasurer, was also elected, and as members in that same order, Vicente Alexandro Báez, Santo Rijo, Miguel Ángel Mariñez Ulloa and Keisy Feliz.

The Electoral Commission was made up of the Immortal of Dominican Sports, Juan Vila, president, and as members, Braulio Ramírez, executive director of the Chess Federation, and the journalist Américo Cabrera, president of the Association of Sports Writers of Santiago (ACDS). .

Once the voting process was concluded, the immortal of the sport, Mr. Juan Vila Reynoso, swore in the new directors of the Dominican Badminton Federation.

The date of the process was established at the Extraordinary General Assembly of Fedoba held on April 6.
