Max Verstappen won the shootout in Miami. Ricciardo got to the second row – F1sport.cz

Max Verstappen won the Miami sprint shootout ahead of Leclerc and Pérez.

On Friday afternoon local time, a shootout took place in Miami, which determined the grid order for tomorrow’s sprint.

From the first part, Gasly, Chou, Bottas, Sargeant and Albon, whose time was erased, did not advance, but he would not have advanced even without that.

In the middle part, the shootout ended for both Mercedes drivers. Russell, Hamilton, Ocon, Magnussen and Cunoda did not advance.

McLaren deployed a large number of new parts in Miami. Lando Norris dominated the first two parts of the shootout and set an even faster time in SQ2 than Verstappen in SQ3 on soft tires on the medium compound, but he failed in the final part and finished ninth.

On the other hand, Daniel Ricciardo shone, who made it to the second row.
