Mavericks Bounce Back in Game 2 to Defeat Thunder 119-110 after Game 1 Blowout

After -22 in Game 1, the Dallas Mavericks respond on the field and win Game 2 in the playoff series against the Oklahoma City Thunder 119-110. Luka Doncic led the Texans to victory with a performance of 29 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. The Thunder limited Doncic to 19 points on 6/19 from the field in Game 1. He finished 11/21 in Game 2. PJ Washington added 29 points and 11 rebounds for the Mavericks. Only 9 points, but with 11 assists, for Kyrie Irving. On the other side, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was not enough for the Thunder, who scored 33 points, 12 rebounds and 8 assists, while Jalen Williams added 20 points. Oklahoma lost for the first time in the postseason and allowed more than 100 points for the first time in their six playoff games.

The match. Dallas led 68-62 at halftime. OKC tied it at 70-70 on a baseline shot by Gilgeous-Alexander with two minutes left in the second half. Aaron Wiggins, who started the second half in place of Josh Giddey, scored in close range to give the Thunder a 72-71 lead, their first of the game. Dallas reacted, partial after Doncic’s return to the court and his rise for Derrick Jones Jr.’s dunk gave the Mavericks a 99-85 lead at the end of the third quarter and 99-89 in the fourth. A two-handed dunk by Williams cuts Dallas’ lead to 99-95, but the Mavericks respond once again. Doncic shoots the triple to make it 104-95 with nine minutes left, the Thunder can no longer recover.
