Malagasy basketball, represented by its two national teams Ankoay girls and boys under 18 years old, are in a good demonstration at the games of the Association of National Olympic Committees of Africa (Acnoa) of Zone 7 dedicated to under 18 years old , Wednesday, which is currently being played in Seychelles.
In their opening match of the competition counting for the first day, the Ankoay girls and boys walked on the water playing like in training. Among the girls, Madagascar in the first match against Mauritius crushed the latter with a score of 21-0 before soundly beating the basketball players from Comoros with a score of 21-0. To round off the first day in apotheosis, the Ankoay U18 girls dominated the Seychelles with a score of 21-0.
On the boys’ side, Malagasy mastery is undisputed. The Ankoay crushed the Mauritians with a score of 21-0 before inflicting a score of 18-3 against the Comorians. The Malagasy players outclassed the host country with a score of 20-7 to complete the group stages. The flag bearers of the Big Island begin the final phases from today.
