Buehler has not pitched in a big league game since June 10, 2022, against the San Francisco Giants. He’s trying to become one of the few pitchers recovering from a second Tommy John surgery, which typically keeps pitchers off the field for 12 to 18 months.
Buehler could make the Dodgers team even more formidable. He was one of the best pitchers in baseball during the 2021 season, finishing the campaign with a 16-4 record and a 2.47 ERA in 207.2 innings.
Buehler spent the last month at the AAA level preparing for his return. He was 0-1 with a 4.15 ERA in 21.2 innings on the mound.
