The excitement of our Club and the city of 9 De Julio is at its highest point, with the news that two outstanding local judokas have managed to qualify for the national Judo championship, organized by the National Judo Confederation, the most prestigious event in Argentina in this discipline, and which will be held in the city of Villa Carlos Paz, at the Arenas Stadium on May 2, 3, 4 and 5.
From the Club San Martin Judo School, Sensei Santiago Falco, highlighted that this is the result of the work team at the dojo (practice place) at Club San Martin, by Senseis Ángel Candia and Julián López who focus on the forms and techniques known as Katas, while Sensei Jorge Mastroliberto on the physical and technical preparation because judo “It is a sport of growth and collective work,” Falco highlighted.
About dojo of Club San Martin, it is federated in the FBJ, it also has a Provincial Referee, “we have refereed in different tournaments, the most notable, the provincial championship, the Buenos Aires Youth Games and we were also called for the Evita National games,” he expressed Falco.

“We know that it is not easy, the categories in which they compete are numerous in participants and highly trained, Alma (15 years old) is in the novice cadet category and will fight in the Junior category (18 to 21 years old), while Isaias (23 years) in the Kyu novice category.
But the story does not end there, Falco assured, since one of the judokas from 9 De Julio (Alma) will face an additional challenge by competing in an adult category. This opportunity to measure himself against more experienced and consolidated judokas in the discipline represents a real challenge, but also a unique opportunity to demonstrate his talent and determination on a high-level stage.
