On Saturday, HC Linz became the third team to fight its way into the semi-finals of the men’s Handball League Austria (HLA). In the decisive game of the “best of three” series, Linz defeated Handball Tirol 34:32 away in Schwaz.
The home team not only led at the break (17:15), but also until 22:21. The guests then pulled away with up to four goals and secured a 2-1 victory in the overall score.
Basic round winners Hard and UHK Krems had already qualified for the semi-finals.
