Uljin-gun to Compete in 26th Gyeongsangbuk-do Sports Competition for the Disabled

[울진/드림저널 = 김영호 기자] Uljin-gun will participate in the ’26th Gyeongsangbuk-do Sports Competition for the Disabled’ held in the Gumi-si area for two days starting on the 23rd.

More than 2,500 athletes and executives from 22 cities and counties in Gyeongbuk Province will participate in the competition, with 10 official sports (gateball, billiards, bowling, badminton, track and field, weightlifting, foot volleyball, table tennis, park golf, and wrestling) and 3 demonstration sports (swimming, Hangung, Shulan) competition will be held.

Uljin-gun formed a team of 103 players, including 59 players and 44 executives, in 7 sports: ▲billiards, ▲badminton, ▲track and field (100m, 200m, 400m, shot put, javelin throw) ▲table tennis ▲ssireum ▲hangung (demonstration) ▲ Participate in a Shurun ​​(demonstration).

Meanwhile, Uljin-gun took first place in ▲Athletics (Javelin Throw – Delays), (Shot Put – Delays), and ▲ Table Tennis (Individual) at the ’25th Gyeongsangbuk-do Sports Festival for the Disabled’ held in Uljin-gun last year.

Uljin County Mayor Son Byeong-bok said, “I am grateful to the players who are trying to play with passion and do their best even in difficult situations,” and added, “I hope that the players representing the county will be able to demonstrate their skills to the fullest.”
