UHK Krems was the second team after Hard to fight its way into the semi-finals of the men’s Handball League Austria (HLA) on Wednesday evening. After 30:21 in the first game of the “best of three” series, the Krems team defeated Bregenz Handball away in extra time with 31:27 (26:26 13:13).
No decision has yet been made between Fivers Margareten and the BT Füchsen. The Styrians equalized the series at 1:1 with a score of 35:31 (19:14) in Vienna.
There was also great cheering in West Vienna. After winning the championship title and saying goodbye to the top division for financial reasons last year, the Viennese secured immediate promotion again with their victory in the HLA Challenge on Wednesday with a 31:20 win over Handball Tirol.
