Jason Kelce has lifted the lid on his new career as an NFL analyst on ESPN as he prepares to join the network’s flagship coverage on Monday Night Football.
Kelce has signed a multi-year deal with ESPN, which will see him appear pregame – on Monday Night Countdown – and at halftime. He will also be part of ESPN and ABC’s coverage of the Super Bowl XI in 2027.
The 36-year-old opened up on his new venture on the latest episode of his podcast New Heights with brother Travis Kelce.
Jason teased other possible ventures in the future, claiming they were ‘in the works’, but the former Eagles center confirmed that the main part of this deal involves Monday Night Countdown.
Travis offered his congratulations to his older brother, telling him: ‘I couldn’t be happier for you, dude.

‘We grew up watching all of the legends and ESPN really fueled our sports fandom, our competition, our knowledge of the games we were playing… it’s insane.’
Jason responded by revealing the brothers’ first conversation about the chance to join ESPN.
‘When I called you and we started talking about the different opportunities, I mentioned ESPN in particular, your exact words I think were: “You’re going to be Monday Night Football?”‘ the elder Kelce said.
‘It’s crazy, especially when we were growing up, this was the night that everyone thought of with football. Monday Night Football and now I’m going to be on there with some incredibly talented people – Scott Van Pelt, Marcus Spears, Ryan Clark.
‘All these guys offer – not just great expertise but wonderful personalities and I think it’s going to be a lot of fun man. It’s going to be a good time, we’re going to be at the games, travelling around, I still don’t know what I’m wearing so I guess we’ll find out.’

Jason has become famed for wearing flipflops and sweatpants but when Travis asked if ESPN would make him smarten up, he replied: ‘I don’t mind wearing a suit if that’s what it calls.
‘There’s a time to be relaxed and off the cuff and there’s also a time I think to be a little bit more buttoned up.’
Chiefs star Travis pressed his brother on whether he would be able to remain impartial in the broadcasting booth – particularly if the Eagles were playing Kansas City on MNF.
‘I will of course be biased in who I’m rooting for, but in my analysis I definitely think I’ll be able to be unbiased,’ Jason said.
‘I always am – even when I was a player, I was always trying to give my honest perspective and point of view and I don’t think that changes now.

‘I’m just going to have more opportunities to voice that – which is either good or bad, probably bad if you’re a horse racing fan but good if you’re a football fan.’
Jason was recently forced to back down and apologize recently after claiming legendary horse Secretariat was ‘juiced to the gills’ in its heyday.
He continued: ‘Obviously I’m always going to root for the Chiefs – especially while you’re playing – and Eagles. That is where I spent my entire career… but as far as sharing football analysis on them, I’ll always be honest.’
Travis then asked whether his older brother would be harder on him than other players. ‘Are you going to be on my a**?’ the tight end said. ‘Are you going to be more open to f***ing s*** on me, because it’s me?’
Jason replied: ‘No, I wouldn’t do that to you. I’m going to make fun of you, for sure… I’m not going to jump on top of you. But if you do a silly end-zone dance, that I think looks stupid, I’ll make fun of that!’
