The world number two from Italy, who recently missed the Masters tournament in Rome due to hip problems, completed his first training session on the Center Court of the French Open on Wednesday, sending a positive sign for a start in Roland Garros.
Sinner had declared that he only wanted to compete if he was “100 percent fit”. Training pictures of the 22-year-old could already be seen on Sunday, which indicated that he was approaching this condition. The 90-minute training session with the Japanese Kei Nishikori on the Court Philippe-Chatrier increases the indications of a comeback in Paris.
