Italy Gears Up for “Muhamet Malo” International Wrestling Tournament in Tirana

Rome, 22 May 2024 – Everything is ready for the “Muhamet Malo” international tournament of men’s free wrestling and Greco-Roman wrestling, taking place in Tirana on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May.

Organized for the Senior age class, Italy will bring 22 athletes: Francesco Stopponi (60 kg), Davide Zilio and Emanuele Pollino (63 kg), Steve Momilia and Federico Raccagni (67 kg), Roberto De Marie (72 kg) , Giulio Bellon (87 kg), Luca Svaicari and Riccardo Bufis (97 kg) in the Greco Roman; Carmine Caiazza (57 kg), Denny Lubrano and Pasquale Liuzzi (61 kg), Daniele Gubbiotti, Gianluca Coletti and Mattia Bientinesi (70 kg), Luca Fizio (74 kg), Antonio Milone and Gabriele Niccolini (86 kg), Vassilj Guccini and Simone Iannattoni (92 kg), Angelo Aleo (97 kg), Martino Piliero (125 kg) in the free.

The technicians Filippo Gargaglia, Fabio Parisi, Emmanuele Rinella, Giovanni Schillaci and Riccardo Niccolini, the team leader Salvatore Fizio and the referee Angela Giuffrida will start together with them.

On Saturday, from 10:00 to 20:30, the boys of the Greco-Roman team will ply the Albanian mats.

On Sunday it will be the freestyle turn, again from 10:00 to 20:30.
