PACHUCA DE SOTO, 23 MAY /NEWS HIDALGO/.- The president of the judo association and head coach of the Hidalgo State selection team, Verónica González Pasten, has shared details about the team’s preparation for the CONADE 2024 Nationals, which will take place in Ciudad del Carmen, Campeche, from June 13 to 16.
This event is one of the most anticipated of the year, and the Hidalgo team has put all its effort into preparing for this competition. “For now our main objective is the CONADE competition, we have refrained from participating in other competitions, for example, in Mexico City, to focus 100% on CONADE,” explained the coach.
The Hidalgo judo delegation this year will have the participation of 14 athletes, two coaches and a delegate, with the athletes Sofía Pelcastre, Linda Hernández and Osmara Sosa competing in the sub 15 category, while in the sub 18 category, Romina Alcántara will represent Hidalgo. , Cynthia Rubio, Sujey Ared Sosa and Kali Olvera.
Karol Citlali Evangelista, Mariana Flores, Marcela García, Emiliano Rubio, Héctor Islas, Alexis Espinoza and José Islas, will participate in under 21.
The president of the judo association explained in general terms the preparation that athletes receive. «Given the importance of the event, a macrostructure is made from August where it begins with a general stage to a special stage, dividing the latter into two: the precompetitive stage and the competitive stage.
