From Super Bowl Champion to Bankruptcy: The Fall of Antonio Brown

Antonio Brown went from winning a ring as a Super Bowl LV champion to declaring bankruptcy. The former receiver who won the Super Bowl with Tom Brady against Patrick Mahomes’ Kansas City Chiefs announced through CTESPN Network, his social media channel, that he is bankrupt.

Brown was fired by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers after stripping out of his uniform following a disagreement he had with coach Bruce Arians midway through the Week 17 game against the New York Jets during the 2021 season.

According to journalist Dov Kleiman, Brown, who filed for bankruptcy this week, owes eight creditors about $3 million.

Brown earned approximately $88 million during his NFL career. His last contract was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, a team with which he signed for one year and $6.5 million dollars. Currently, Brown says he has less than $50,000.
