F1 Monaco GP: Mbappé, tears, joy… Strong images of Charles Leclerc’s home victory

Charles Leclerc, the Monegasque Formula 1 driver, won the first Monaco Grand Prix of his career this Sunday. A performance which gave rise to beautiful scenes of joy and emotion.

During his career in Formula 1, Charles Leclerc accumulated a lot of frustration while trying to win his first Monaco Grand Prix. Once the finish line was crossed, the Ferrari driver burst out with joy at the wheel of his car, shouting “Yes, yes, yes!” » Added to that a few cries of joy, before reuniting with his whole team to celebrate this deserved victory.

Present at the Monaco Grand Prix, the day after his victory in the Coupe de France final with PSG against Olympique Lyonnais, Kylian Mbappé had the joy of being able to wave the checkered flag, thus confirming Charles Leclerc’s victory. Contagious joy at Ferrari

Since his arrival at Ferrari, Leclerc has had good and bad times, but this Sunday will certainly be etched in his memory and that of his team. Once his victory was assured, the Monegasque was treated to a wonderful welcoming committee, with all the staff he was expecting to celebrate the event. From the top of his car which did not let go, Leclerc was able to raise his fist.

The tears of Prince Albert II

Charles Leclerc is not the only one to have been moved by this long-awaited victory. On the podium, Prince Albert II congratulated the pilot. Moved, the Prince hugged the pilot before shedding a tear. In front of the crowd, Leclerc waved the Monaco flag, accompanied by Oscar Piastri (McLaren), and his teammate Carlos Sainz. Prince Albert and Leclerc were then able to celebrate the event by shaking two bottles of champagne.

The final dive

After the emotions on the podium, Charles Leclerc and Frédéric Vasseur, the boss of Ferrai, took a quick dip in the water of the port.
