Varied program of recreational sports activities for this month of May in Caibarién
The Caibarién Sports Directorate, together with the Humberto Jordán Gallo sports team, have scheduled various recreational sports activities for this month of May. Among the main activities is continuing with the competitions of the Third Community Recreational Sports Games, for each neighborhood, popular council and settlement of the territory.
Also during this month, the Municipal Championship of the Turquino Bambúranao Plan or Mountain plan will take place, in a month that is also celebrated on Farmer’s Day, for which recreational and sports activities will be developed.
Every Sunday at the Humberto Jordan Gallo stadium, the participatory baseball championship, the May First Cup, will continue, where five teams participate.
Other activities to be carried out are: 5-a-side baseball championships, soccer, domino competitions, as part of the town’s recreation in order to raise the quality of life.
The day of the challenge will be celebrated, where physical exercises will be performed to improve health.
May 31 is World Smoke-Free Day in the fight against smoking, an additional pretext to quit this harmful habit that threatens health.
Mega athletics events and a giant simultaneous chess event are projected for the 96th anniversary of the birth of the Heroic guerrilla, Ernesto Che Guevara, on June 14, the most fervent promoter of chess in Cuba in the first years of the revolution.
