Eileen Probst: Rising Star in Judo climbs to World Ranking 12

The world ranking 12 celebrates an impressive season

Eileen Probst is as talented as she is successful. The young judoka from Schupfart (Ju-Jitsu & Judo Club Brugg) is also impressive internationally. At the end of June she will travel to the U18 European Championships in Sofia.

During the season, Eileen Probst took part in several prestigious international tournaments and always finished on the podium: at the international tournament in Dijon (2nd place); at the European Cup Follonica (3rd place); at the European Cup in Antalya (1st place); at the international tournament Thüringenpokal Bad Blankenburg (3rd place); at the European Cup Berlin (3rd place); at the European Cup Bielsko-Biała (2nd place).

Thanks to these consistently strong performances, the Fricktal native has worked her way up to 12th place in the world rankings; a remarkable achievement that underlines her position as one of the best judokas in her weight class up to 57 kg worldwide. The JJJC Brugg and her hometown of Schupfart are accordingly proud of their athlete, who, through her successes, represents not only her club but also the region at an international level.

Eileen Probst’s successes are the result of years of hard work and dedication. Her coaching team at the National Performance Center Brugg has contributed significantly to her progress, with the coaches supporting her in the technical, tactical and mental aspects of the sport.

Direct route to the European Championships

On May 22nd, the Swiss Judo Association announced the selections for the European Championships in Bulgaria. Eileen Probst and Lorenzo Enz qualified directly and are therefore part of the national team that will travel to Sofia at the end of June. In addition to those who qualified directly, three wildcards were awarded, meaning that the Swiss national team will have a total of five judokas participating in the U18 European Championships in Sofia.

The woman from Fricktal has big ambitions and goals ahead of the upcoming European Championships. Her recent successes give her the motivation and self-confidence she needs to continue competing at the highest level. She will have the opportunity to compete against the best judokas in Europe and demonstrate her skills on one of the biggest stages in the sport.

“The whole family, all friends, patrons, sponsors and the JJJC Brugg are keeping their fingers crossed for Eileen Probst for the upcoming tournaments and challenges and are looking forward to witnessing her further development and successes.” (mgt)
