Dominicans José Ramírez and Amed Rosario Shine in Monday’s MLB Games

The Dominicans José Ramírez and Amed Rosario stood out this Monday along with the American Alex Bregman to carry the offensive weight of their teams in the Major Leagues.

RED SOXES 3-5 RAYS

The Dominican Amed Rosario hit a double and a triple to drive in three runs and in this way the Tampa Bay Rays beat the Red Sox, in the first of the four-game series that both teams will play at Fenway Park in Boston.

Cuban Yandy Díaz, Colombian Harold Ramírez and Panamanian José Caballero had one run scored, while Dominican José Siri and Puerto Rican Richie Palacios each added an RBI for the Rays.

Alex Bregman sent the ball over the wall twice and drove in four runs to be the key factor in the success of the Houston Astros over the Oakland Athletics in the American West division.

Venezuelan José Altuve scored and drove in a run, Dominican Jeremy Peña scored twice and Puerto Rican Víctor Caratini drove in two runs for Houston.

JJ Bleday and Tyler Soderstrom each brought one lap to the record for the Oakland Athletics.

TIGERS 6-5 MARLINS

Spencer Torkelson hit a two-run home run to give the Detroit Tigers the lead in the eighth inning, who beat the Miami Marlins.

Cuban Andy Ibáñez scored and drove a return, Puerto Rican Javier Báez also produced a score and Dominican Wenceel Pérez scored a score for the Tigers.

Dominican Otto Lopez hit a two-run homer and his compatriots Bryan de la Cruz, with a run scored and an RBI, Jesús Sánchez, with an RBI, and Vidal Bruján, with a run scored, led the Marlins’ offense.

Bryson Stott homered in the ninth inning and then drove in the tiebreaking run in the 10th inning as the Philadelphia Phillies beat the New York Mets.

Bryce Harper and Panamanian Edmundo Sosa scored a run each and Dominican Johan Rojas drove in a run for the Phillies.

The save went to Venezuelan José Alvarado (8), who completed a scoreless chapter.

Cuban JD Martínez drove in two and scored a run, Puerto Rican Tomás Nido got an RBI and Dominican Starling Marte added a run scored.

Puerto Rican Edwin Díaz allowed two runs in one inning and failed to save the victory for the Mets.
