(wS/jf) Win May 14, 2024 | The district individual championships for the U13 age group recently took place in the South Westphalia judo district. These include clubs from the districts of Siegen-Wittgenstein, Olpe, the Märkischer Kreis and Hagen. 66 judoka born between 2012 and 2014 competed with host TV Freudenberg to qualify for the district championships. From a local perspective, the following fought for first place: Jonathan Gehrke, Mariella Herbst and Mattis Wolf (Judo Friends Siegen-Lindenberg), Mateo Steiner and Eva Meiswinkel (Judo Club Gernsdorf), and Jan Cernohorsky (Judo Association Siegerland). Sarina Hoffmann (Judo Friends Siegen-Lindenberg), Merle Grüttner (Judo Club Gernsdorf), Mikail Karaefe, Jonas Schlaak (Judo Association Siegerland), Leo Elija Stahlschmidt, Theo Langenbach and Tilda Serapinas (TV Freudenberg) achieved second places. Gero Anders, Saya Haji and Luiz Ramirez (Judo Friends Siegen-Lindenberg), Nico Hellmann, Mara Gerhus and Lilli Wilscher (Judo Club Gernsdorf) and Leon Rumann (Judo Association Siegerland) were happy about third place. All those placed are qualified for the district championships, where the judoka can recommend themselves for the Westphalia championships.
