The Detroit Pistons are ready to appoint Trajan Langdon, current general manager of the New Orleans Pelicans, as their new president of basketball operations.
The parties are working on a deal that is expected to be finalized soon, sources told ESPN. Pistons owner Tom Gores has given Langdon broad powers to make changes to the organization and define the future of the franchise, which recorded just 14 wins last season.
Langdon brings with him an excellent draft selection and personnel management record from his years with the Pelicans and Nets.
