“”The previous team boss Ralph Denk signed a multi-year contract as CEO and will therefore remain in his role. “The goal is to become the benchmark in terms of sport and economy,” he said. With the new owner, the team rises financially to the top ranks. The budget is expected to increase from the previous 25 million euros to around 45 million euros per year. This means that Red Bull will have similar requirements as the UAE team around cycling star Tadej Pogačar.

“”New design for the Tour de France

“For the Tour de France, the design of the jerseys as well as that of the bikes and the fleet will change. Red Bull would then like to fight directly for overall victory with the Slovenian Primož Roglič. Up to 30 percent of the new money is to be invested in the structure: expansion of scouting, an own U23 team from 2025, more filling of the squad positions, strengthening of the classics faction. Up until now, Red Bull had only sponsored individual athletes in cycling – now, as in Formula 1 and football, the company has its own team.

“”When asked about rumors that big top cycling stars such as Remco Evenepoel and Wout van Aert would soon be joining the team, Denk said: “Everyone who has drunk a can of Red Bull in the past has been associated with us.” He did not comment further on individual names.
