Club Soria Baloncesto to Host Castilla y León Children’s Cup Final Phase at San Andrés Sports Center

The Castilla y León Basketball Federation has granted Club Soria Baloncesto the organization of the final phase of the Castilla y León Children’s Cup, in which the CSB Codesian A will compete for the title with the Cultural and Deportiva Leonesa-Colegio Leonés B and the San Pablo Burgos RFS Construcciones. This event will be held at the San Andrés Sports Center from May 10 to 12. The Soria Baloncesto Club exhibited a high organizational level in the final phase of the Castilla y León Cup of the First Division that was played at the San Andrés Sports Center two years ago. And the candidacy that, with the support of the Soriana Basketball Delegation, was presented to the Castilla y León Basketball Federation, was based on these quality standards in the organization of an event of these characteristics.

The CSB Codesian A children’s team has only lost one game all season. They fell in Segovia on the penultimate day of the regular league and then clearly won the three matches of the second phase. This team is made up of ten of the players who won the Castilla y León Minibasket Cup two years ago and thirteen of the members of the Soria Baloncesto Club that last season reached a creditable sixth place in the Pre-Children’s Autonomous Championship. There are two other teams from Club Soria Baloncesto for which, like CSB Codesian A, the current season has not yet concluded. Both will play this weekend: Semillas Adolfo Martínez will visit Esclavas de La Coruña this Friday and the CSB Cañada Real cadets receive San Pablo Burgos Blanco on Saturday.

This Friday, at 9:00 p.m., in La Coruña will be the penultimate game of the season for Semillas Adolfo Martínez, who has eluded victory in the second phase of the First Women’s Division. The team led by José Javier Carnicero won six of the eight games in the second round of the regular league, but has not yet beaten any of its Galician, Cantabrian and Asturian rivals. Esclavas de La Coruña will fight in these last two days with Fodeba de Gijón for first place in the group, which would give access to thirteenth position in the final classification of Group A of the First Women’s Division. And on Saturday, at 4:00 p.m., the CSB Cañada Real cadets play the last game of the course. Their rival, at the San Andrés Sports Center, will be San Pablo Burgos Blanco.
