Claudio Ranieri: A Coaching Career to Remember

Hi Mister.

After more than three decades coaching at the highest level, Claudio Ranieri is calling time on his career. The Cagliari coach will manage his very last match on Thursday, against Fiorentina, a club he also managed (1993-1997). The 72-year-old coach is leaving through the front door since he brought Cagliari back to Serie A in 2023 and kept the club in the elite this season.

Ranieri coached in Italy, obviously (Cagliari, Naples, Fiorentina, Juventus, Parma, Roma, Inter, Sampdoria), but also in Spain (Valencia, Atlético), in England (Chelsea, Leicester, Fulham, Watford) and in France ( Monaco, Nantes), without forgetting his short experience as coach of Greece. On his record, the fabulous title of English champion won in 2016 with the Foxesan Italian Cup with Fio, a French Ligue 2 champion title with ASM, a Copa del Rey, an Intertoto Cup and even a European Super Cup with Valencia.

Retirement will be well deserved.
