IOn Wednesday, the Lower Austrian Fire and Security Center in Tulln presented the anniversary certificates to 152 Lower Austrian fire departments – including ten from the Wiener Neustadt district.
This special ceremony paid tribute to the fire departments, which were celebrating their 100th, 125th, 140th, 150th and 160th anniversary. Governor Johanna Mikl-Leitner, Deputy Governor Stephan Pernkopf, State Fire Chief Dietmar Fahrafellner and his deputy Martin Boyer thanked the fire departments present and highlighted their tireless efforts. “The volunteer fire departments are the best insurance policy you can imagine for Lower Austria,” said Mikl-Leitner in her speech.
The following fire departments from the Wiener Neustadt fire department district were presented with an anniversary certificate:
- FF Bad Erlach: 150 years
- FF Eggendorf: 150 years
- FF Gutenstein: 150 years
- FF Kirchschlag: 150 years
- FF Walpersbach: 150 years
- FF Weikersdorf: 150 years
- FF Zillindorf-Markt: 150 years
- FF Krumbach: 140 years
- FF Matzendorf: 125 years
- FF Wopfing: 100 years
