STOP – The Carabinieri of the Montegiorgio Company carried out a singular intervention in the town of Phaleronwhich led to the three people reported in state of freedom involved in various capacities in serious crimes. In particular, the soldiers of the local Carabinieri station of Falerone, together with those of the Monte San Pietrangeli station, after having been alerted by the Operations Center of Montegiorgio, identified and reported a 68-year-old pensioner from Torre San Patrizio, a 31-year-old unemployed man from Naples and a 34 year old Tunisian resident in Naples.
The pensioner is held responsible for aggravated threat with a weapon and illegal possession of weapons, while the two young people were held responsible, jointly, for the detention of the purposes of drug dealing. The story began when the pensioner surprised the two young people in the vicinity of his sister-in-law’s house being renovated in Torre San Patrizio. Convinced that they were carrying out a theft, the pensioner stopped them by threatening them with a gun and then calling the emergency number “112”. The police intervened promptly and disarmed the man, who continued to agitate and point the weapon at the young people. During the check it emerged that the pistol, a 9 caliber, duly detained, she was without a magazine but with seven cartridges inside the magazine found on the ground. The two young people were instead searched and found in possession of some doses of heroin.
Nellpensioner’s carthe military found a second pistol magazine with six more cartridges, one baseball bat, an ax with a 36 cm handle and 17 cm blade and a 56 cm machete with a 42 cm blade. The weapons, ammunition and narcotics were seized.
Furthermore, in the apensioner’s accommodation we proceeded with the precautionary withdrawal of the other weapons regularly held, an 8 caliber rifle, a 28 caliber rifle, a rifle and the license to carry weapons for sporting use that the man possessed.
The intervention of the Carabinieri made it possible to avert potential tragic consequences. In this sense, it is important to remember that the police are the only authorities legally authorized to guarantee public safety and order and are for this purpose trained and equipped to manage emergency situations in a professional and law-compliant manner.
