Brandl will most likely be the only German participant in the taekwondo competitions in Paris in 2024. Thanks to her strong placement in the Olympic rankings, she secured the German team a quota place in her weight class.
In the remaining classes for women and men, no one from the German team was able to do this. The German fighters were also unable to secure another quota place at the European Olympic qualifying tournament in Sofia.
Since the National Olympic Committees have exclusive jurisdiction to represent their respective countries at the Olympic Games, athletes’ participation in the Paris Games is dependent on their NOC selecting them as representatives of their Paris 2024 delegation.*
