Boston Celtics Take Game One Lead in Semi-Finals Against Indiana Pacers

Record champions Boston Celtics took the lead at the start of the semi-finals in the North American professional basketball league NBA. The top team in the main round won game one against the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night 133:128 after overtime. The best shooter was Boston’s star player Jayson Tatum with 36 points and twelve rebounds, while Tyrese Haliburton had 25 points and ten assists for the Pacers.

It was Boston’s Jaylen Brown who forced overtime with a three-pointer to make it 117:117 with 6.1 seconds on the clock in regular time. There Tatum turned it up, scored ten points alone and, after a turnover by Haliburton, sank the important throw from outside to make it 127:123.

In the best-of-seven series of the Conference Finals in the East, the Celtics can make it 2-0 on Friday night (2:00 a.m.) when they welcome the Pacers back to their home stadium, TD Garden.
