The Canary Islands roads are working well for Yoann Bonato. Like last year, the Deux-Alpes driver and his co-driver Benjamin Boulloud won, aboard their Citroën C3 Rally2, this event of the European Rally Championship which will be included in the WRC calendar next season.
They were only 2”8 ahead of another French crew, made up of Mathieu Franceschi and Andy Malfoy, entered in a Skoda Fabia Rally2. Already second in the opening event in Hungary, Franceschi takes the lead of the European Championship ahead of former New Zealand WRC driver Hayden Paddon.
The next event will take place in Sweden in mid-June. This time on earth, the surface on which Franceschi won the title of French champion in 2022.
