Thanks to a resounding 4-1 against Agnonese, Bojano retained a place in the Molise Excellence list. Permanence in the highest regional category came at the end of a playout which saw two teams of a certain reputation compete, both having made a total of 24 appearances in D (10 appearances for the Matesini, 14 for the Alto-Molisani). It was Di Nucci’s brace and goals from Scozzari and Perrella that prevented the red and whites from falling to Promotion. Litterio’s scoring was useless for the Granata, who had finished the regular season in penultimate place.
The Ultras Bojano they stood by their team in this last battle too. Compact behind their drapes, they welcomed the entry of the teams onto the field with a suggestive torch, simultaneously singing the choir “You are my only love”, whose words also appeared in the banner that accompanied the choreography. Salvation was the deserved reward for these boys, who throughout the season never missed their presence alongside the Bull, both on the steps of the “Colalillo” and around the region.
