As has often been the case this season, the Toronto Blue Jays offense failed to make a difference on Tuesday night against the Kansas City Royals at Rogers Center.
Indeed, Bo Bichette, on a single in the sixth inning, scored the only run for the representatives of the Queen City, allowing Isiah Kiner-Falefa to cross home plate. Thus, the Blue Jays lost 4 to 1.

The Blue Jays have scored two runs or less in six of their last eight outings.
As a reminder, Toronto won 6 to 5 on Monday against these same Royals.
The visitors got on the scoreboard quite quickly when Michael Massey extended his arms to give his team a 2-0 lead. In the eighth inning, with the Royals holding a slim 2-1 lead, Bobby Witt Jr. and then Vinnie Pasquantino both hit doubles to allow their club to win their first game since April 26.
On the mound, it was Cole Ragans (2-2) who recorded the gain. In 6.2 innings played, he allowed only four hits and struck out nine players. For the Blue Jays, Jose Berrios (4-2) allowed two runs in seven innings.
The two teams will cross swords again on Wednesday afternoon.
The Twins scare each other
It was thanks to a sacrifice fly in the ninth inning from Max Kepler that Édouard Julien’s Minnesota Twins won 6 to 5 against the Chicago White Sox.
In the eighth inning, the Minnesota team scored two singles to take a 5-4 lead, but a home run from Andrew Benintendi brought the two clubs back to square one.
In Julien’s case, he had a discreet evening. He was struck out three times in four at-bats, only managing to draw one walk.
The Twins and White Sox will face off once again on Wednesday. Julien and his teammates will then begin a three-game series against the Boston Red Sox on Friday.
