The city of Beauceville awarded a $304,683 contract to the company Simexco Inc. for the construction and installation of water games at the Rotary Sports City. The selection committee analyzed three submissions before making its decision.
“The work will be carried out this summer and the equipment will be started in September. It is therefore possible that the population could benefit from it at the end of summer, obviously if the temperature permits,” specifies the leisure director, François Langevin.
These water games are financed by the Beauceville Sports and Leisure Foundation and the Small-Scale Sports and Recreational Infrastructure Support Program (PSISRPE) of the Ministry of Education. The city of Beauceville will assume the costs related to the physical preparation of the sector, from its operating budget.
Located on the former site of the arena, the Rotary Sports City already has a hockey surface, baseball, basketball and volleyball fields, as well as picnic tables and a rest area.
