Bayern’s seemingly endless search for a coach is now gaining momentum!
BILD learned both from Munich and from those around FC Burnley that FC Bayern and coach Vincent Kompany (38) have reached an oral agreement. The Guardian first reported this.
The English newspaper also reports that Bayern negotiated with Burnley owner Alan Pace (56) on Wednesday. The deal is expected to be finalized by the end of the week.

Kompany, a former Belgian international, has just been relegated from the Premier League with Burnley, but those responsible at Bayern, led by sports director Max Eberl (50), obviously see great potential in him. According to BILD information, he was on the record champions’ coaching list from the start.
In Burnley, the coach still has a contract until 2028 and in England it is expected that the club will demand a high fee!
The ex-HSV player and former Manchester City captain (2008-2019) was previously head coach at RSC Anderlecht in Belgium. Kompany also ended his professional career there and worked as a player-coach in his last season.
Another advantage: Kompany speaks German! An important criterion for Bayern. His English is also perfect – it was recently the second “official language” for Kane and Co. in the Bayern dressing room.
