Japanese Phenom Keisei Tominaga Signs with Curry Brand, Aims to Emulate Idol Stephen Curry

Curry Brand is continuing its market in the NCAA, looking for atypical profiles to try to get ahead of the competition. After the signing of college star MiLaysia Fulwiley, top scorer in the SEC Conference Finals, the Under Armor subsidiary got its hands on Keisei Tominagathe 23-year-old point guard who caused a sensation at Nebraska this season in Fred Hoiberg’s squad, averaging 15.1 points (37.6% 3-point success), 2.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists over 32 games of the Big Ten.

Japanese international, member of the national 3×3 team, Keisei Tominaga is best known for his atypical style and his sense of spectacle. A big shooter, he admits his admiration for Stephen Curry and claims to try to play the same way as his idol. It is also in homage to “Chef Curry” that he wears #30.

“Like a dream come true”

While waiting to perhaps see him one day in the NBA, while the Kings and the Clippers have asked to give him trials, here he is signed for a several-year contract with the “Curry Brand”. One more step towards glory for the Japanese phenomenon who is already nicknamed “Samurai Steph”.

“Stephen Curry has always been one of my basketball heroes. I have worked hard to emulate his game during my own career, and to be able to represent his brand and everything he stands for is like a dream come true.”, said Keisei Tominagawho became the first non-American athlete in the Curry Brand stable, alongside De’Aaron Fox and therefore MiLaysia Fulwiley.

Absent from the “Mock Drafts”, the leader will favor the Paris 2024 Olympic Games over the Summer League and hope to gain more exposure for the coming season.
