BERGAMBACHT • Badminton club Blue Sky has room for more youth. To become acquainted with the sport of badminton in an accessible manner, a weekly event is organized in De Waard. On Fridays, May 17, 24 and 31, from 6:30 PM to 7:15 PM, youth aged 5 to 12 can play badminton for free. Registration is not necessary.
Blue Sky is a club where sportsmanship and fun go hand in hand, and where everyone is welcome, the association states: ‘Together with experienced trainers, volunteers and the board, we are working on a club that is widely accessible and where everyone feels at home. We are proud that we have different target groups and backgrounds in our association. We think it is important that everyone enjoys sports and that there is something for everyone at his or her badminton level. We are also a social club. We offer tournaments to come and play with family or friends, and have fun at our barbecues and pub quiz nights.
Then: ‘Badminton is accessible and challenging. This sport is as much about insight and technique as it is about fitness, speed and strength. Badminton is easy to learn, but requires practice to master completely. It is a versatile sport, both physically and mentally.
