On Sunday, archery appeared in Asti with the 1st ASTARCO Trophy 2024, 70/60m-50m Round interregional competition. The competition, organized by the red and white association, took place on the pitch in Variglie (AT).
About 80 archers took part in the competition, not only from Piedmont but also from Lombardy and Liguria. Eight Astarco athletes from Asti positioned themselves on the shooting line: Gaia Bogliacini, Dal Colle Riccardo, Cafiso Gabriele, Roagna Pietro, Pescatori Andrea, Arossa Fabrizio, Confalonieri Carlo and Confalonieri Luisa.
Great satisfaction for the red and white club. In the Arco Olimpico Master Men’s Division AROSSA Fabrizio won the Silver medal with 553 points. Also in Arco Olimpico in the very young men’s category, CAFISO Gabriele is fifth with 592 while DAL COLLE Riccardo has to settle for seventh place with 575 points. The Arco Nudo red and white patrol was larger. In the Senior Men’s PESCATORI category, Andrea stops at the foot of the podium in fourth position with 543 points, but it is the young people who give the red and white team the greatest satisfaction.
In the Female Student category BOGLIACINI Gaia won the Gold medal with 488 points, same result for ROAGNA Pietro with 534 points in the Male Junior category and Gold medal also for CONFALONIERI Luisa in the Female Junior category with 596 points. In the last weekend of April the 70/60-50m “Gianni Calissano” race took place in Alessandria. The competition took place in two rounds, the Bare and Compound Bows in the morning and the Olympic Bows in the afternoon, saw the participation of a ‘large’ group of red and white archers: AROSSA Fabrizio, MOSCATIELLO Massimo, DAL COLLE Riccardo, PESCATORI Andrea, BROSSA Gabriele , DONADONIBUS Luca, VASSAROTTI Stefano and BOGLIACINI Gaia.
In the Men’s Master Olympic Arc, silver medal for AROSSA Fabrizio with 583 points and bronze for MOSCATIELLO Massimo with 564 points, while DAL COLLE Riccardo, in the very young men’s category, won fifth position with 483 points. In the Senior Men’s Nude Bow all the Astarco archers are off the podium: PESCATORI Andrea is fifth with 511 points, BROSSA Gabriele is sixth with 507 points, DONADONIBUS Luca is eighth with 479 points, while VASSAROTTI Stefano is ninth with 420 points. PESCATORI, BROSSA and DONADONIBUS with 1,497 points win the Silver medal. Greater satisfactions in the Arco Nudo Allievi Femminile where BOGLIACINI Gaia won the Silver medal with 439.
